The school has a very rich curriculum with themed work as it's core. The children benefit from a cross-curricular approach and clearly enjoy this. We also learn Spanish within Key Stage Two.
During the Summer term, we had an art themed week. Each class chose an artist and painted a large canvas based on their work. These are very impressive and will be displayed in the school hall. The children also painted their own picture which was put on display in an exhibition. The painting were sold to raise money for the school and the children really enjoyed the experience of becoming paid artists.
Each classroom has an interactive smartboard. This enhances learning considerably as it gives the teacher and pupil so many multimedia options. We also have laptops which can be used throughout the school, thanks to the wireless internet connection.
Every 16 school days, children take home their work in a special folder. This allows parents and carers to see the work that is being done by children in class. The scheme has proved very popular and it is clear that the children take much more pride in their work.
